先日、お城の周辺の樹木に注目して歩いてみました。

お城の周辺には松の木がたくさんあります。

There are many pine trees around the castle.

でも、変な形の松の木がとても多いことに気づきました。

However, I noticed that there are so many strangely shaped pine trees.

紹介してみましょう。

三の丸の松の木です。

It is a pine tree of Sannomaru.

見事なぶつ切り剪定。とてもかっこ悪い。

Stunning chopped pruning. Very uncool!

喜斎門付近です。ここもぶつ切り剪定。

It is near Kisaimon. This is also chopped and pruned.

こうした形の悪い木は、ヨーロッパであまり目にしたことがありません。

These malformed trees are rarely seen in Europe.
